Kit Comes With:br /• 1 lb doughnut mixbr /• 4 doughnuttery sugarsbr /• 1 doughnut depositorbr /br /Other Items You Will Need: br /• oil (vegetable, canola,br /soy, peanut, or safflower oils)br /• frying pan or deep fryerbr /• chopstick, fork or spatulabr /• electric mixer or whiskbr /• thermometerbr /• 1 med. mixing bowlbr /• sheet pan or platebr /• four small bowlsbr /• paper towelsbr /br /INSTRUCTIONS:br /MIXING: In a mixing bowl, combine doughnut mix with 1 cup of warm water.br /Using a whisk or electric mixer, mix at low speed for 1 minute, then mediumbr /speed for 1 minute. Let batter rest for 10 minutes.br /br /HEATING: While batter is resting heat oil to 350 to 375 F. Fry thebr /doughnuts in 3-4 inches of oil*, either a counter-top deep fryer, frying panbr /or large pot on stove.br /*For best results fry in Vegetable Shortening, Canola, Soy, Peanut, orbr /Safflower Oil.br /br /DOUGHNUT MAKING: Keep the doughnut depositor closed by holding itbr /firmly on counter while using a spoon to fill depositor with batter beingbr /careful batter doesn’t leak out of the bottom.br /Holding the depositor by the finger loops at the top with your first andbr /second fingers and your thumb on the plunger, position depositor 2-3†abovebr /the hot oil, being careful not to touch the oil with the depositor. CAUTION:br /Hot oil can burn you. Depress the plunger with your thumb for 5-10br /seconds until a small amount of batter extrudes from the depositorbr /and gathers at the bottom. Lift your thumb to close the depositor and thebr /batter will drop into the oil in a ring shape. If your batter is too thick,br /pumping your thumb to assist in the batter extrusion my bebr /helpful. Deposit several doughnuts 1-2†apart.br /Cook doughnuts for approximately 1 minute on each side or untilbr /golden brown. Use a chopstick, fork, or spatula to flip thebr /donuts. Once the doughnuts cook on each side, remove from oil andbr /place on a layer of paper towel or cooling rack to cool.br /br /SUGARING:br /Coat warm doughnuts with the Doughnuttery Doughnut Sugars. Servebr /immediately and enjoy!br /br /WARNING: Children should be supervised at all times while cooking.
