Note for the arepas. Arepas are at their best when they are eaten within 15 minutes of being made. If you live far from alma or you want to eat your arepas later in the evening, please order them half baked and follow these instructions to prepare them at home: the arepas will come to you half baked; preheat the oven to 450 degrees; bake the arepas about 10 minutes on each side until the surface is a bit crispy. When done, they should make "drum" sound when you pat them with a spatula. Open them 3/4 of the way, remove most of the soft inside dough. Fill your arepa and eat right away. If you want your arepas half baked, please let us know.
