FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


What is a food and beverage minimum?
A food and beverage minimum is the monetary amount of food and beverages that must be achieved within the space reserved, the night of the event. If the minimum is not met, the remainder will be placed on the final bill as a room fee. Food and beverage minimums cannot be reached by gift certificates, carryout food or bottles of wine and only pertain to food and beverage consumed during the time of the event.
Is a deposit required and is it refundable if I need to cancel?
A 25% reservation fee is due at the time of the reservation. An additional 25% reservation fee is required sixty (60) days prior to the Event date. The remaining estimated charges shall be due and payable no later than three (3) business days prior to the Event Date.
Am I required to guarantee a certain number of guests?
All contracted groups are required to provide a guaranteed number of attendance three (3) days prior to the events. In the event of guest cancellations after the guarantee has been submitted, the host will be charged for the guaranteed number.
When do I select the menu?
Due to seasonality, we schedule tastings 4-6 weeks prior to the event. Please keep in mind that we are extremely accommodating and almost any item on the menu can be altered or substituted. In addition, we are sensitive to any dietary needs and are able to accommodate most with adequate notification.
Do I select a beverage package?
Each of our wedding packages includes a full bar, open for four hours and options to add beverages for dinner service. Last call is at midnight, unless otherwise determined. Bars are also available on a complete consumption basis, in lieu of a package bar.
Do I need to leave a tip?
Gratuity is at your discretion, with standard being 18%- 22%.

On Saturday, May 2nd Osteria Via Stato hosts a virtual Make Your Own Cello Class. Our mixologist, Conor Maguire, will show the various steps in producing limoncello at home, via Facebook Live. Purchase your cello-making kit, which includes lemons, 1 bottle of Tito's vodka, simple syrup, as well as house-made lemon cookies for $49. Kits to be picked up on Friday, May 1st.

Limoncello Class & Dinner

Learn how to make liqueur like an Italian with this Limoncello making class. The evening will begin with an introduction to Chef David DiGregorio's 'cello program, which highlights seasonal fruits and ingredients by infusing them when they're at their peak. 'Game Night In' is the private, 90-minute virtual game night experience that allows you to join in on the fun from from wherever you are, brought to you by Chicago-based company Game Night Out!
What games will we play?
You can think of 'Game Night In' as one big party-game, in itself. It feels like having a game night at your place, but it's our turn to host. Our Hosts will facilitate the entire experience, and will be there to guide your group through everything, and help introduce each game, explain the rules, keep the competition flowing, keep the experience on track, and generally help keep your group having fun! The experience consists of a series of challenges, that you and your group will compete in, in teams. Some games are in the form of a guessing-game or have a trivia or scavenger hunt element to them, while others may be more skill or puzzle-based. All in all, there is something for everyone in there. But as is part of the fun at both Game Night Out & Game Night In, to keep it exciting for everyone we like to keep the exact game details a surprise and test your chops on game day.
