Wente Wines

The First Family Of Chardonnay. Founded in 1883, Wente Vineyards is the country's oldest, continuously operated family-owned winery. Early on, the founders imported chardonnay rootstock from France and replanted it on the Wente Estate. Today, it's estimated that 80% of all chardonnay planted in California comes from the original Wente Chardonnay.
